We're a team of doers that is persistently in pursuit of ideation, innovation and creation. As DIY enthusiasts, we came together to create a network of home improvement DIYers, and we aspire to achieve that through DIYM. We are improving home improvement and reimagining a more sustainable way that homes and communities can be built.
I spent 10 years working for my uncle’s general contracting business and we focused on residential homes. I was always in awe of how much paint people have sitting in their garages and basements – most of it was dusty and probably expired. Paintr excites me because we’re solving this issue while giving homeowners/DIYers a chance to make some money.
Matt is a Philly native and is leading DIYM as Chief Technology Officer and is the CEO and Founder of THT.
As an amateur DIYer it’s tough to find materials in small quantities. Painting a small accent wall requires a small amount of paint but, most hardware stores only sell paint by the gallon and the extra paint takes up valuable storage space. We developed DIYM to help alleviate this problem. if I could get a small amount of paint, or other materials, from someone within the area it will save me money, space, and time.
Rohit is from the San Francisco Bay Area, and is leading DIYM as Chief Operating Officer. He is a Meta and Google veteran with a background in product development and project management.
I’m a creative soul who loves transformation. I love how DIY transforms my space while changing me in the process. I have a passion for inspiring other creatives to make their vision a reality, take risks and realize they are capable of so much more than they give themselves credit for. I couldn’t be more excited to join DIYM and do exactly that by facilitating the process and creating a community of like-minded creators who support each other. Originally from Brazil, with a background in design and photography, moved to the States 15 years ago and now live in Georgia with my 2 beautiful kids.
I have always liked to build things around the house. Moving from an apartment to a house gave me the chance to do this even more and brought out the DIYer in me. It was not until I started looking at the tools that I needed that I realized that there's a gap in the market for us DIYers, a place where we can rent tools and buy and sell left over home improvement supplies.
Andrew is a native of Ghana and calls San Diego his home. Andrew is an entrepreneur with a background in software and product engineering. Andrew is leading Paintr as Chief Strategy Officer.
I wanted to create a more sustainable way to do work around my home. I was spending a lot of time going to the store to buy supplies, and I was buying more than what I needed, which left me with more supplies that ended up taking up more space in my house. Also, there were times when I needed a ladder or pressure washer and thought “what if I could just rent one from a neighbor”? Knowing that we created DIYM to solve those problems, and more, I’m very proud of DIYM because it will allow more people to do more with less and in a more sustainable way.
Mark is from the San Francisco Bay Area, and is the former co-founder of Healthtech company 5 Point Medical. He has also launched products that reached thousands of customers worldwide. Mark is leading DIYM as Chief Executive Officer.
I’m Rajat Wadhera, the proud founder of Techniax Solutions based in India. My journey has been all about merging technology with a sustainable ethos. Through Techniax Solutions, we’ve not only pioneered tech innovations but also embedded environmental consciousness into our practices, striving for a greener tomorrow.
Beyond our company’s walls, my impact has extended globally. Collaborating with startups across six continents, I’ve assisted them in establishing robust technological foundations. It’s not just business for me; I’m deeply committed to uplifting communities through various initiatives close to my heart.
